Stay Oriented to Time, Place and person all the time.
As we grow older we easily forget
names, dates and names of places.
Try to recall the names of the persons you met that day before retiring to sleep.
As soon as you wake up, try to recall them and the date & day of today.
Learning "New
Knowledge".
Learning never stops. The more we learn, the better our
brain functions. Recent studies show that whether we are young or old, our brains continues to learn new things. In fact the new studies demonstrate conclusively that an older brain has an advantage. More highly developed neurons respond better to intellectual enrichment than the less developed ones ( younger brains ).
It is a time old saying that an older brain, which is driven to learning new skills, new ideas & new knowledge, is more creative. In other words an old brain has tremendous capacity to become wiser if kept up to date with new knowledge.
A Hearty
Laughter No other emotion is as powerful as laughter in expressing ones sheer delight and no other animal is capable of laughing.
One must exercise laughter as much as possible to create a good sense of well being. A hearty laughter 5 - 6 time/day or more is all what we need. Try to laugh daily either through comics, comedy movies, comedy programs on TV or try to be in the company of people with a good sense of humor.
A Hearty Laughter involves more than 54 muscles of our body and it does wonders to our physical, mental as well as spiritual health.
Before we part from the subject of brain improvement,
Remember, no mental exercise is complete without a regular physical exercise
