Indonesia vulnerable to terrorism. Not only was the target of terror, as well as a fertile breeding place for terrorists.
This is something we consider worthy. What kind of psychological conditions that encourage young people into productive age terrorists?
Terrorism can be defined as movement of a group that uses violence to achieve goals. If so, that terrorism can be a movement from the authorities and the people as well, without distinguishing who the target.
To be discussed is the terrorism in the sense motion an underground group which is based on a particular ideology to fight against holders of power by performing acts of violence or threats to the safety of members of the public.
Disclosure of terrorism cases in Indonesia has shown, many young people had been recruited to be members of terrorist groups. In some areas in West Java and Central Java in the fact that lead as evidence of coaching of young people become members of the terrorist.
In fact, terrorism is generally developed in areas that are experiencing political and social conflict or persecution. Include terrorism in Ireland (the British-Irish conflict), terrorism in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The regions of separatists, such as Aceh some time ago, also of Papua, a terrorism-prone areas.
If socio-political conditions are not strong enough a reason for the development of terrorist acts, we need to more seriously look at the social psychological conditions that may lay behind the development of terrorist groups. We need to take part in building a psychological condition that supports young people to develop themselves constructively, without resort to violence.
