Many a times questions pops-up in our mind as to how many great things were invented, which have made a large part of our life a bed of rose.But before anyone questions oneself he should know about how science was utilised by many ancient nations inorder to let the next generation people not face any difficulties along their life.But to know how technologies came, one needs to know about how science developed through ages.
Many ancient nations like the Egyptians,the Babylonians, the Chaldeans,the Greeks and the Romans have done a lot in the field of science.They were the pioneers of technologies and scientific inventions.What we are today is because of the contributions of this great nations in science and technology.This all happened when many turned against the Catholic Church for their interelated malfunctions.This movement was known as The Renaissance.Another factor that took us to where we are today is the Crusades.We know that many people died in that religious or holy war ,but their sacrificed life turned our life towards fortune.Due to the titanic migration during the crusades there were many exchange of ideas which lead to the people of Europe become independent and to stop believing the Pope as the almighty and live under his fears.
Many of the great science genius had to face difficulties to carry on their work. They lived and died miserably.As nowadays wit is easier to build a lab with a loan from the bank, but earlier times a person had to look hundred times before he leaped to his final decision.They were known as HERETICS as they were brought in front of the enemity of churches,in which both the Protestant and the Catholics were included.
In the 7th century many were interested in the study of planets and other universal bodies.One of them was the Polish genius Copernicus, who discovered that Sun was the centre of the universe.But his study was wrong.Next,the great hero Galileo carried on with his telescope works and
also helped Newton another great hero of science discover the law of gravitation in which Newton described the interesting habit of the objects to fall on being thrown up.In the field of biological science Anthony Van Leeuwonhoek discovered the microscope for studying the microscopic organisns which for years have been humans main enemy.Because of this contribution we now know all about the microscopic organisms and can take the necssary precautions against them.This inventions of microscope led to the existence of the subject bacteriology.Geologists were also rescued because the use of microscope helped them study different rocks and fossils.
Meanwhile, the physiologists and anatomists finished their warfare of both bitter and soft attitude with the authorities of both Catholic and Prostestant Church and obtained permission to cut apart human bodies for a positive or for a good cause knowledge of human anatomy and due to them today we know about the mysterious puzzle of our body.
In the 19th century middle and the rich class people were willing to use the advanced science technology.
But at that time still many distrusted science and its theories.Rich people who donated their money for religious and church purposes, recently spent their money for spiritual things and for the development of more scientific researches as they were then understanding the important needs of science in their daily life.
As time came life has changed a great deal.Nowadays diseases like cholera,typhoids,etc which were a threat to the humans earlier ,are nothing to humans now.But, still some diseases like cancer,aids ,tuberculosis,polio,etc are difficult to be cured ,if prompt and early action is not taken.The IT sector is almost at its zenith but humans just want to break the barrier and go on inventing as the never ending universe.
To a great extent we have used science for violence and for breaking nature's rule.Because of this today temperatures at some places are soaring above 40 degree celsius.Because ohe depletion in the Ozone layer new diseases like skin cancer and sunstroke are taking place in large numbers.One of the best examples for all round negative impact of science is the Hiroshima-Nagasaki nuclear bomb strike.Because we have broken the nature's rule many destructive changes in climatic factors are taking place like the Tsunami and drought.We have not utilised and handled science properly.
I am sorry to say that is this the way how we repay our ancestors ,who sacrificed their lives and worked hard for our better living?We should soon take action against the wrong use of science and should save science from hanging its head in shame in front of humanities non-sense activities.
The great teacher Lord Buddha told that we should sacrifice our desires to attain salvation.Now i ubderstood why he told that.Humans desire for more will tear the world apart and soon there will be no Earth and no humans in the universe.Due to this condition of the world I have decided to write the article Science Through Ages to make people realise about how we are doing wrong to Science.
