It might not seem like it,but water is the most needed nutrient of all.
infact, people cant survive for more than a few days
without it.Most of our body is water. water has many important jobs.
Infact it is the main ingredients in all the
fluids(like blood) that are inside our body.These fluids travel through our body carrying nutrients into and waste out from all our cells and organs.Wateris a big part of the fluid that lubricates our joint and helps our intestines to do their job better.When we are hot water cools us down by helping us sweat.When our body gets hot,water comes up through our skin as sweat and evaporate into the air.As the sweat evaporates,it takes our body heat with it.This cools down our skin,which cools down our blood.When our blood is cooler then our whole body cools down.
On a regular day our body loses two to three quarts of water and on a day when we are exercisingand sweating hard our body loses even more.Many foods have lots of water in them especially fruits and vegetables.If you like grapes,watermelon or oranges you are in luck ! These fruits taste great and are full of water.So are veggies like lettuce,cucumber and celery.But one cant rely on food alone to get all the water we need.Thats why we need to drink water and other fluids every day.
We sometimes hear that people should drink six to eight cups of water each day.We might not need that much,depending on how much water we get from other fluids and from food.drink Milk,fruit juices and eat lots of fruits and veggies to have a good health.Infact when we are doing exercising and we are sweating then drinking water is doubly important.so to keep good health, friends dont think twice to have water.
