The scenario of transportation technology seems to be pushed to its limits these days.The ever increasing cost of non renewable sources of energy
sparks a thought of fear among people all over the world.They fear about a
millenium version of
dark ages that they are approaching ,when all the pillars of transportation field would freeze
due to the absence of oil.Some folks try to predict that crisis would overcome by other efficient forms of technology using fuel cells but that may be helpful only to limited areas.We must remember that a neither a jet plane nor a ship can be powered by these kind of energy sources. They just need that 'raw 'power of gasoline
or that
robust and plentiful torque of piston and crankshaft which are least efficient when compared to motors.
The wider gaps between the
rates at which oil is formed(natural origin),extracted,and demanded causes the level of available sources to go down drastically.Those who demand oil now need to think of atleast what would happen after fifty years from now. We would not then be surprised to see limousines and SUVs being showcased at homes as an artefact of the present era "Fossil - thrift ".we now burn oil even for entertainment(unlimited).This further indicates the inability of humans to forsee situations when a drop of oil may become worthier than a drop of water.
The above said stage of human history seems to be inevitable even though some are not really concerned about that.

hold ahead the present
throttle for some time in future.Bio-diesel and Methanol are nice substitutes that could succed diesel and gasoline in next generation automobiles.Still the commercial exploration and supply of these would be a tough task at the start.Hectares of land should be maintained to cultivate the bio-diesel plant species(jetropha).
Electric cars are yet to prove their 'robustness'.They would become an efficient clean and renewable source of energy since the current that charges it comes mainly from hydel power, a renewable source of energy.

Oil crisis is capable of making us know the point at which we are in the
