Learn the Magic of Fruits.
Fruit is one of
the most healthy and natural foods in existence. There are thousands of different types of fruit available to eat, all of which provide us with strong health benefits. Fruit contains a large number of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and plant phytochemicals that help benefit health. They are perhaps one of the few good things whose benefits are endorsed by doctors and neuropaths like. About four servings daily can ensure the desired results.
The ten most beneficial fruit are :
1. Apples are replete with iron, calcium, arsenic, phosphorous, small amounts of vitamin E and B complex. And the skin contains five times more vitamin A than the inner flesh ! An apple after dinner is a great cure for constipation. It is also beneficial for heart patients, those suffering from high blood pressure, arthritis and gout.They also aid in de-toxification and are natural mouth cleaners and teeth protectors. A mashed apple makes for a good face mask too.
2. Bananas are rich in potassium, calcium and iron. They provide us with quick recovery from fatigue as they contain large amounts of easily digestible sugar. Like apples, they are good for constipation and diarrhoea. Depression can be treated as it contains the neurotransmitter serotonin. Bananas also stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood. A ripe banana contains a compound called vitamin U which has anti-ulcer properties.
3. Grapes provide quick energy as they contain a large amount of sugar, which also aids in digestion. Its high water content prevents the formation of kidney and bladder stones. The acids present in grapes is very little, it is easily absorbed by the human body. It is a very potent anti-oxidant and highy beneficial for an anaemic.
4. Guavas must not be peeled as their skin contains most of the vital nutrients and vitamins. It is high in water content and low in calories. They are the highest source of vitamin C, with rich iron content. They work wonders for those suffering from colds and those seeking relief from stomach disorders. Mildly laxative, they should be consumed before breakfast.
5. Jamun is the most effective natural medicine for diabetes. The seeds contain a glucose called jamboline that checks the conversion of starch into sugar. It contains anti-oxidants good for veins. They are also beneficial for liver problems and to cure bleeding piles.
6. Mango is an excellent source of vitamin A, natural sugars and vitamin C. But it has the highest amount of calories, amongst fruits. The fruit aids in detoxification, while the high vitamin A content prevents eye disorders. One ripe mango has 40% of vitamin A and 15% of vitamin C needed by us in a day.
7. Orange is a good appetiser and acts as a digestive too. Your daily requirement of vitamin C can be met by drinking one cup of orange juice. Its rich membranes are rich source of calcium.Three oranges a day can cure constipation.
8. Papaya is the ideal breakfast fruit. If had after food, it is good for digestion. It is high in vitamin C and A. It prevents stomach-related allergies and aids in the anti-ageing process.
9. Tomatoes are actually fruit. It one eats two raw tomatoes before meal, its high content of folic acid prevents heart disease and cancer.
10. Watermelon is high in water content and low in calories. Its seeds are rich in iron and chewing these will help those who are anaemic. Two bowls of unseeded watermelons, consumed daily, can cure constipation. It also hepls in lowering blood pressure.
