"MAKING ELECTICITY WITH WATER"

Book Abstract by: Anonymous

Original Author: CRISTIAN J. D'ANGELO
This project is to show the most economical way to make electricity with the movement of the water, instead of using oil,
gas, petroleum, that are more expensive and pollute the earth.
It's a simple project that everybody can use to get electricity. The only materials that we have to use are: A big bucket, water, some turbines, transmission lines, a tank, a pole, acrylic sheet, etc..., as you can see, is not as complicated and expensive as using traditional.
In the real life, there are different way to get the electricity, for us, the best one is where is used the water, because does not damage our world.
The Hydropower Resource is just the energy in flowing water, provided to us naturally by the earth's water cycle and by gravity. Moving water, has a great deal of force.
Now, in our case, was a demonstration of one of the two common hydropower systems exist. The one that we did, is the Storage Hydropower Systems, where the hydropower plants that we're most used to seeingare called storage” hydropower plants. For this project, we use a fish tank as an impoundment that holds water back to create an artificially steep drop. An we are simulating the dam using a big bucket causing it to back up into the fish tank using the first tube. The water is held backuntil is needed using the second tube to release the water into the turbines into the other bucket. With the force of the water, we were able to move the turbines, so the light bulb would turn on.
Our conclusion is that the Hydropower Resource is that the best way to preserve our planet is to implement more Hydropower Plants.
Just to mention, the other Hydropower System is the Run of River, which eventhouth is not our project, but is part of natural cycle systems.
