The Sun The sun makes the world glad. Just think of all the things the sun does for us. Sunshine gives the skin the glow
of life. The sun gives the flowers bright colors and deepens the green of the leaves. The body is obtaining energy from the sunshine. You can watch the butterfly sit in the sun and then when it has been strengthened by the sunshine it can go on its way again. If you have two plants and you put one in the window and the other one in the shadows you will find the leaves in the shadows turning yellow and maybe even die. The plant in the window with all the sun will grow to be a mature healthy plant. What does the sun have to make such a difference?
Are you spending time in the sunshine? Are you working in the garden? It is good to take a vacation and spend some time on the lawn enjoying God’s nature. Take a walk everyday and get the needed workout of the muscles. Help others to get out in the fresh air and move around and find something useful to do like pull weeds and plant flowers and pick the strawberries or raspberries. Watch the birds and maybe you can follow them to their nest. I was out in the sun reading and the humming birds were flying around the house and flowers quite a bit so they were giving me quite a bit of enjoyment. Some times when my dress has flowers on it the hummingbirds will come to the flowers on the cloth. I praise the Lord for giving us this opportunity of seeing these birds so close. We need the sun and plants and animals. We need each other and we need our lovely Jesus. We cannot have Him unless we obey Him.
The plants and trees have elements they give off from their leaves that man needs in
order to live. We have lots of plants in the house so hopefully they are doing the air
conditioning that we need done.
Our solar system moves through its appointed course through the heavens in perfect
timing upheldby the mighty hand of God.Our sun sheds its light on a thousand worlds.
When we lookup at the stars at night we feel quite small and helpless.
Its such a blessing to see the beams of sun light shining in the window each morning
and encourage us to start another day. I appreciate the sun more than ever after a
series of cloudy days.
