What is Genetic Enginering

Book Abstract by: Shimone

Original Author: Union of Concerened Scientists
What is Genetic Engineering?Genetic engineering is a process that involves moving genetic material past the natural wall
that makes one animal different from another. This requires advanced technology way beyond the funds for most public people. By doing Genetic Engineering you are making an organism weaker or more powerful in ways that aren’t progressed over time that means unnatural.Doing such things can help the world but such thing that we do will be irreversible for thousands of years and cannot be recalled from the environment the natural world produces helpful and harmful traits, over time those that survive that have helpful traits will reproduce offspring passing on genes. Nature generates many different combos of genes over time.People argue that messing with nature will have undesirable results in the end since this technology if new. Because it’s new, people say more research needs to be done. BUT it can help people by making disease resistant plants which can be sent to Africa for food and for many other resons.
