The Unsteady Power Law Blood Flow through a Multi-Irregular Stenosed Artery

Article Summary   by:fadzlina     Original Author: Norzieha Mustapha

The non-Newtonian pulsatile model of blood flow through a multiple stenoses with irregular surface is considered. The generalized Power Law model of blood viscosity is chose to study the characteristics of blood flow in a multi-irregular stenosed artery. The finite difference scheme based on the non-uniform grids helps estimate the effects of surface roughness to an unsteady Power Law blood flow through some graphs. The result obtained show that the axial velocity, the wall shear stress and flow rate produced lower values, while resistance to flow presented higher values than a Newtonian model.
