Nowadays, automobile manufacturers aware the importance of using natural fiber reinforced composites as interior parts in vehicle. Biodegradable behavior is this composite attract manufacturer to fully utilize this material. This present work discusses on the strength and fracture mechanism of coconut coir reinforced composites. Composite specimen is manually prepared. Coconut coir was immersed into solution contained different weight of silane and then drying in atmospheric condition. Silane treated fiber is randomly layout into rectangular steel mould and then experiencing cold compaction. Tensile specimens are stresses quasi-statically to obtained stress-strain curves. Tensile properties of the composite are discussed by relating them with the effect of silane treatment.
