A Study on Spatial Variability of Soil Fertility Factors in Waterlogged Land

Article Abstract by: TsingHua

Original Author: Acta Agriculturae Universitis Jiangxiensis
Taking Sanhu Farm in Hubei Province as an example and by means of the geo-statistical method, the paper studied the spatial
variability of four soil fertility factors including organic matter, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, and available potassium in waterlogged land. The results showed that the distribution of soil fertility factors displayed evident spatial heterogeneity. The range of soil available nitrogen is the smallest, which is 1 740 meters. The second is soil organic matter 2 200 meters. And it is 58 560 meters for soil available phosphorus and 8 060 meters for soil available potassium .The spatial variability of organic matter, spatial dependence with intense is strongly caused by structural factors. The spatial variability of soil available nitrogen, available phosphorus and organic matter are affected by structural and random factors, only with moderate spatial dependence. Based on this, the distribution maps of four soil fertility factors were well-prepared by kriging interpolation.
