Based on the features of waterlogged land in Jianghan plain, the present study combined the esperi-mental demonstration,
agricultural structrue adjustment and
agricultural industrialization together in order to obtain some new method, new measurements and new mechanisms for esperimental research and
demonstrational popularization of new crop varieties. New varieties of crops were introduced, and integrated techniques applied. The productive value in the waterlogged land has increased as a result of the most suitable varieties, the techniques and the new high effective agricultural model. For five years, 105 new varieties have been introduced, and techniques such as those for paddy seedling cultivation in the condition of insufficient water and for the seedling throwing also introduced. As a result, crop yield has increased 23.6%. In conclusion, five new techniques have been formed and demonstrated effective, and four kinds of high effective agricultural models have been introduced into practice. Five great industrial zones for waterlogged land develogpment have been established in the plain.
