nsinLiaoningprovince,itcanbedividedinto4soi lerosiondegreeareas:theareaofextremelyhighd egreeofsoilerosion(>55％),distributinginChao yang,Fuxincitiesand10counties,suchasJiancha ng,Yixian,Kangpingcounties,etc.;theareaofhi ghdegreeofsoilerosion(40％～55％）,distributing in8counties,suchasSuizhong,Xingcheng,Faku,Z huanghe,Pulandian,etc.;theareaofmiddledegre eofsoilerosion(25％～40％),distributinginEastL iaoninglowmountainsandhillsarea,suchasAnsha n,Yingkou,Dandong,etc.;andtheareaoflowdegre eofsoilerosion(Themajorhazardscausedbysoile rosioninLiaoningprovinceinclude:①loweringth efertilityofsoilanddestroyingthebasiccondit ionsofmagriculturalproduction;②siltingupres ervoirs,blockingupchannels,thencausingfrequ entfloodorwaterloggingdamages;③heavilydamag ingecologicenvironments,loosingthenecessary conditionsofsustainaldevelopmentofagricultu raleconomy;④causingheavylossesinlives,propertyandnationaleconomy.Fromthecompmaringofthesoilerosionareasin1986 andin1996,wecanseethesoilerosionareahasobvi ouslybeengettinglower,showingthatthesituati onhasafavourableturnthroughtenyearsofeffectivecomprehensiveharness.
