Based on the sampling under the artificial forest in south suburb of
Xian city and the analysis in the lab,the change of
soil moisture content from zero to six meters was studied.Through weighing after being dried,
soil moisture content demonstrated the draw of high to low and then to high from top to bottom.The soil can be divided into three layers: rapidly change layer,water lack layer and stable layer.The range of lacking water layer was different because of different plants.The range of lacking water layer of corn-field was between 0.7?m and 2.2?m,while the range of lacking water layer of woods land was between 1.5?m and 3.8?m,which was deeper than that of corn-field.The reason of it was that the range of plant root system was distributed differently.Slight soil dried layers appeared between 2?m and 3.8?m under the forest,but forest grow normally.We can consider strengthening forest median construction in the urban construction.Soil moisture content in sao-ling tomb was sufficient,which was suitable for planting crops.
