Application of crop residue reduce the crop yield may be due to nitrogen immobilization and also no response of bio
fertilizers was observed. 100% NPK (150:80:40) application fallowed by 20 & 25 t/ha FYM application observed higher yield than crop residue and bio fertilizer application.
Combination of FYM + crop residue was slightly superior to FYM + bio
fertilizers, but statistically was at par. In case of alone FYM application 20 t/ha was recorded slightly higher yield than 25 t/ha while vice-versa in combination with crop residue and bio fertilizer, but there was no significant difference between each other. This result was shown only one year experimentation in temperate Kashmir condition.
