In the cities, you are known.

Blacks and Whites, They
praise you in their hearts.
You engagements in humanity,
Are like the rays of the sun that shines,
Brighter than the man-maid light.
America, adores you.
Europe, adores you.
Asia, praise you and the African''s, love you.
You have no flaws in you.
How fair and pleasant are you.
O! Useful tree.
In the various aspect of human life,
You have shown mercy.
“Builders”, run to your stem for woods.
In the time of harvest, the farmers,
Runs to for help, you give them baskets.
When our Mothers wants to cook,
They, come to your fruits for oil.
In our homes, you are the broom.
In Nigerian (Igbo-Land), your are their symbol of marriage.
And the thirsty, come panting for water (palm wine).
You let them draw out water from your stem,
To, quench their taste.
