A preliminary research was done to study the physiological response of Polianthes tuberose L. The objectives of this study were to identify the effect of environmental factor for this to obtain maximum growth. This research was carried based on four different light intensity (100%, 81%, 63%, and 53%), two different irrigation frequency (once and twice of watering per day) and two different types of fertilizer (organic and inorganic). Three parameters regarding the growth of Polianthes tuberose L were investigated under all these factors, which are chlorophyll content, height of plant and number of leaf. According to the analysis done using ANOVA, light intensity, rate of irrigation and types of fertilizer used gave significant impact on the parameters that were being studied. Plants with the light intensity of 53% showed the highest tallness and amount of chlorophyll but lowest quantity of leaf. Polianthes tuberose L. plants that were being treated with inorganic fertilizer showed the highest tallness, chlorophyll content and quantity of leaf when irrigated twice daily. Whereas, Polianthes tuberose L. plants that were being treated with organic fertilizer showed the highest tallness, chlorophyll content and quantity of leaf when irrigated once daily.
