The
Rzeszow University of Technology has initiated a study in order to evaluate the
aluminium deck system to be used in polish bridge rehabilitation program. The
numerical simulation and static load tests were carried out and reported
before. After that the dynamic response of 2.10 x 3.20 m deck panel has been
performed at the laboratory in order to obtain the modal characteristics of the
deck. Deck accelerations have been recorded and used to determine natural
frequencies and mode shapes and to provide basis for verifying the numerical
model. The results of dynamic experimental evaluation of the panel are the
subject of the paper.
