Architecture and Literature

Book Summary   by:SM THOMPSON     Original Author: SM Thompson
ª

Architecture and Literature an odd coupling but nevertheless a useful connection a bit like the French Connection. I had reason to meet with the Architects here in the UK and the news was both bad and good until it got to be a row rather than a coffee party!

The row revolved around Architecture and should we loose the shape of our buildings and give way to eastern practice especially at Oxford .. I have seen both styles of architecture and thought the marrying of the two was and is a good idea. But while I appreciate the views on Architecture I still feel the natural coupling with our society is .. society and literature .. possibly there is room for a getting together of Architecture and Literature providing we can agree to differ .. great stuff!
