A car-sized asteroid approaching Earth drifted on 9 February 2011. Similarly, the research team predicted Asteroid Program NASA Watch reported on the website Space.com. The name asteroids are 2011 CA7.
The diameter of the asteroid is estimated to be about 3 meters long. According to scientists, the asteroid will pass at a distance of 103,480 kilometers (km) from Earth. Asteroid will be at the closest point to Earth at 14:25 ET or 02:25 hrs later. Unfortunately, the size of the asteroid is too small that can not be seen.
2011 CA7 was the second asteroid passing near Earth during the last five days. On February 4, 2011 CQ1 asteroid with sized of 1.3 meters across the Earth at a distance of 5471 km.
NASA says Tim, 2011 and 2011 CQ1 CA7 not potentially hit the Earth. The size of these two asteroids was too small so it will burn in the atmosphere. In their Twitter account, a team of NASA researchers wrote, "It is predicted that smaller asteroids every day across the area between the Earth and Moon. However, the small size so can not be seen."
Until now, NASA continues to observe the asteroids that approach Earth. Observations conducted to determine the asteroid struck the Earth and potentially disastrous. Asteroids, comets and a few things along the sky near the Earth, called the Near-Earth Object. Potentially hit Earth asteroids are hovering near the Earth and measuring more than 150 meters.
