The Origin of the 2012 Prophecy
There actually is no prophecy or at least none that we could decipher. This is because when the Spanish priests found out that the natives in South America were sacrificing human beings in their pyramid temples to honor the gods; they destroyed literally the historic libraries of the Mayans. In them housed all the written works and history about the native South American folks, the Incas, the Mayans, the Toltecs and many other cultures. The only remaining evidence of the 2012 prophecy is the Mayan calendar, which is by far the most advanced time pieces ever created. Modern scholars decoded (partly) about how the calendar works and they found out that the Mayans used a cyclical method of recording time and incidentally the clock stops at 12-21-12. To add more darkness to the mystery they also found out that the Mayans were right on just about almost all astronomical data that they produced which NASA is only recently confirming.
Why Human Sacrifice?
No one has ever come across an answer to this age old question, but 99% of all the ancient cultures practice this, others perform animal sacrifices as substitutes. There were only hearsay about what human an animal sacrifices meant; however, I came across something that is so bizarre that ancient cultures would go to this savagery just to achieve it. According to tribal priests in a small town in the Philippines they do blood sacrifices (please take note that they only do animal scarifies these days as it is a crime to kill a person for blood sacrifice) to please the forest spirits “so that they could impart to them a glimpse of the future.” He also said that human blood pleases the spirits more than anything which must be the reason why the Mayans would do human sacrifice in their time. It wasn’t just the Mayans who practiced blood sacrifices in ancient times, the Egyptians, Babylonians, Sumerians, Akkadians, Hebrews, the Celts and many other cultures, but none could match the Mayan’s barbarism. Ancient Babylonian priests would sacrifice a goat or a sheep and take out its liver and then ascribe to the moon in order to predict about their harvest, ironically the tribal priest in the Philippines does the same thing today. If there is no plausible link between these cultures, then only one explanation would suffice – everybody must be doing it back then and passed on their tradition that it still exists even now. The Mayans had an advanced understanding of the cosmos thousands of years before NASA sent Hubble to take pictures of our Milky Way galaxy. The most disturbing thing of all is that they achieved this knowledge without huge telescopes and computers and yet what they have discovered is far more accurate than what our modern technology could ever achieve.
The 2012 Movie
Everybody thought that Roland Emmerich was going crazy when he did the film “The Day After Tomorrow” back in 2004, but his predictions seemed to have penned out and we are indeed living in a time where worst disasters keep popping up in the news.
The thing about Emmerich is that he doesn’t make these films based on legends and hoaxes, but he gets his information from world renowned scientists and experts. It just seems that the hype to conceal this truth is what people would accept than what is actually happening around us now, and mind you the experts were right about global warming and how it can affect our weather. Now about the 2012 movie most of the things that were shown were actual scientific facts, although the dating is still contestable. There have been polar shifts many times before where the polarity of the Earth (North and South poles) reversed and switch places, and that it in fact was the cause of major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. But probably not as severe as the movie would portray, I personally think that it was an over exaggeration on Emmerich’s part. The Yellow Stone Park is indeed a super volcano and can erupt to certain extents that the movie showed, but more than that an angry super volcano would spew ashes and pyroclastic materials enough to blanket the Earth’s atmosphere for up to 2 years at least. So even if the characters survived in the movie they will have a hell of a time recuperating, because there is no growing of crops in a sunless sky for sure. Now if you think that the flood in the movie is downright impossible, then I urge you to reconstruct your thoughts, because scientists say that a mile high tidal wave is likely possible and the evidence for this is the Black Sea in the Baltic area in Europe. In 2007 a team of scientist use sonars to determine its depth, but to their surprise they found an ancient water level for the lake and it was shallow, they also found traces of ancient settlements under the lake as well as bone fragments from a Wooly Mammoth. Which means that the Black Sea was not as deep as it is today and only a worldwide cataclysmic flood could have reshaped the Black Sea into its current form today. So yes, at least in theory most of the things that the movie covered could technically happen and cities could be wiped out in a single day.
