histology is a part of structural biology (anatomy) which
plays a major role in understanding the tissue features of
each and every organ in our human body. only by
understanding the histological features of each organ, a
doctor can further investigate the pathological conditions
of the particular organ when he goes to further clinical
practice. but nowadays none of the medical student is
interested in trying to understand the histology which has
to be taught in the Iyear of the mbbs and bds also. this
creates a lot of confusions when the study pathology in the
further years of medicine course. even the teachers for
anatomy are not giving much importance in making the
students to understand the histology. knowing very well
the students are indentifying the histological slides only
from outside the microscope and not looking in to the
slides through the microscope, they just want to wind up
the work and not trying themselves to make the students
understand the histology. this condition should change.
the medical students in the I year should try to understand
the features of histology of each and every organ in the
human bodies and should apply it in their theory writing as
well as in their practical when they go to further years of
medicine. Teachers in the Anatomy Department should also
help the students to make a better understanding in
histology. this will pave a way for furture doctors to
ease their diagnosis in a pathologically affected patients.
