Ascaridia galli or roundworm infecting bird’s like
chickens. Mengkudu’s Fruit is one of alternatif that good for killing a
roundworm and have been use by people. This research is to proof the
antihelmintic of mengkudu’s Fruit precipitat, and concentration that effective
to kill Ascaridia galli.
The method
of research, doing by submerged method. The preliminary research analyze for
three section. First, to know roundworm lifespan outside the host, to decide
concentration of comparation solution,
and to decide combination thet used in this research. Section four is the
research. The roundworm are be submerged in NaCl 0,9%, Prantel Pamoat 0,05 % ;
0,156 % ; 0,313 % ; 0,625 % and mengkudu’s fruit precipitat of 1 %, 3 % 5 %, 7
%, 10 %, 20 %, 30 %, 40 %, 50 %, 60 %, 70 %, 80%, 90 % dan 100%. Data analyzed by ANOVA then DMRT (Duncan
Multiple Range Test).
The research
shown that (Morinda citrifolia) have an antihelmintic to Ascaridia galli.
