Enzymes are protein molecules that catalyze roll of biochemical reactions. In general, enzymes negkatalisasi a specific reaction only. Pepsin example is the enzymes in the digestive fluid. Pepsin digestion of protein begin to break down the protein into pieces smaller. However, pepsin does not break down starch in food. The task was performed by an enzyme called katilase.
Enzymes most works on a narrow temperature range. Enzymes work very slowly at temperatures below 30 degrees C and was decomposed above 40 degrees C.
How it works on the enzyme that is enzymes that catalyze reactions is called an active part. When the reacting molecules embedded in the active part of it, the molecules in the tissue in the right position to enable reaction to occur. Active part in many enzymes contain a metal atom. The others contain small molecules called coenzymes, usually is a vitamin. Metal atoms and vitamins are in a balanced manner. Lack of vitamins and metallic elements that cause the enzyme works not stable.
When this enzyme is made to be used outside the living cells. Biological detergent powders contain enzymes that break down dirt. Enzymes that cause discoloration can be used to detect substances in very kecil.salah one such enzyme is used for a pregnancy test.
