TREES - GIFT OF NATURE………! Trees are considered as ,integral part of development in view of tremendous benefits they yield by of way of soil and water conservation, ground water recharge and maintaining ecological balance. It is very hard to imagine human survival in a world without trees. Development of trees in waste lands will provide an assurance against total or partial crop failure. They would provide supplemental income, ensure proper utilization of marginal lands and provide employment during off season of the year in rural areas. Beneficial effects of tree growing are: i) Controlling water loss / run off ii) Reducing soil loss iii) Preventing wind erosion iv) Acting as moisture storage barrier v) Protecting form air pollution Hence by growing more trees all over the free waste lands, we could manage the future as well as improve the ecosystem……
