botBotox comes from a bacterial
toxin that causes
muscles to relax due to nerve impulse block. You may think "
relaxing" the muscles is a good thing, but the toxin is notorious for killing its
victims by relaxing the
Muscle for breathing -- the diaphragm. Victims can no longer breath so they die. Of course, Botox is supposed to be "safe" for use in humans to lessen wrinkles, according to FDA at least. It does so by relaxing the targeted muscles of the
face. What happens is that since the skin of the face is closely connected with the muscles, a relaxed muscle also "relaxes" the skin, making it appear less wrinkled. But this effect lasts for only a few months and the patient needs to be injected, which of course raises her risk of being killed by Botox.
