NOx
gas represent air pollution gas which one of its source
is yielded from discard result of combustion of fossil fuel and biomasa. Gas NOx
can cause bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia and irritates lungs. Besides that, NOx gas by reacting with other gas in the air
can become nitrate aerosol which finally by dissolving it in cloud drips can
make
rain become acid rain. Acid rain affects ugly to environment because can
degrade crop, damage building and rusts
iron if fallen by acid rain during long time.
In this research NOx gas
emission was calculated from
energy usage like coal,
natural gas, fuel oil, biomasa and lpg. Methodologies which was
used was by referring conversion from ton usage of energy to emitted ton of NOx
gas which was result of Manfred Kleeman research
in year 1994. Of course have to convert ahead from unit of energy ( thousand
sbm) to amount of ton used.
From result of calculation obtained that biggest NOx gas
emission was from usage of lpg, then
natural gas. From usage of natural gas and coal, the biggest NOx gas emission
was from industrial sector. While from usage of fuel oil, the biggest NOx gas
emission was from transportation sector, and from usage of lpg, the biggest NOx
gas emission was from household sector.
