Malaysia is rich with natural biodiversity rainforest and marine habitats. One of the greatest treasure called Tasik Chini or Lake of Chini located in Pahang, Malaysia. The greatness of the lake attract many people especially researchers and explorers come to the location in order to make experiment, to explore and to appreciate the richness of Tasik Chini. Therefore, a group of researchers form The National University of Malaysia a.k.a UKM formed one research station situated here for making research in all aspects.
As a result of their research, they have produced a book about Tasik Chini which is contain about many aspects including images of people who live in which is called Jakun community, fauna including fish, mammals, reptiles and flora. For example, Tasik Chini owned their Rafflesia and many more. Other than that, this rainforest lake also rich with a lot of herbs that benefits humankind. One of images in the book is lake lotus which is experimented by the researchers that can be natural filter to a contaminated water. In order word, the lotus can be functionally used to clean dirty water at a critical area in the town and city.Tasik Chini also was a home for animals, birds and insert. Images of frog, white head eagle anf others picturised in the book as a natural treasure of Tasik Chini and need to be preserved for future generation.
As Tasik Chini Research Station was located here, many effort has beeb done by their leader to uphold and make people recognise treasure. UNESCO has declared that Tasik Chini as biosphere reserve because of the richness habitats. It shows that generally Malaysia as biodiversity country and has a good initiative to preserve nature. In fact, there are many visitor locally and internationally visit and have their reseach in Tasik Chini. For example, under topic Sustainability of Tropical Heritage a group of students form John Moore University and University of Melbourne come to Tasik Chini for research purposes.
Last but not least, there is a legend that Tasik Chini was guarded by a mythical moster. It called Naga Seri Gumum or called dragon. It also called Malaysia Loch Ness Monster. However, it is just a legend and not proven yet scientifically. As conclusion, Malaysia has many attractive places to visit and to explore. Therefore, let's come visit Malaysia.
