The steel section beam with trapezoid web is having better buckling and shear performance than the flat "classic" welded sections. However, their performance in relation to pile foundation application is relatively new. Therefore, the trapezoid web section may be an interesting alternative for the roller H-section in pile foundation system, particularly for thick cohesive soil ground. it was predicted that the corrugated web H-pile could generates greater friction capability due to its larger contact surface with soil due to normal force executed on the inclined web. This project present a comparative study which was conducted in the field tests to investigate the behavior of both corrugated webs H-pile and flat web H-pile under axial load. Two sets of each type of the pile were tested using maintained load test and constant rate of penetration test to determine their performance in resisting the axial load in relation to friction capability. Data was collected and analyzed to evaluate their performance based on the graphical curve of force versus settlement. The analysis concluded that the friction capability for corrugated web H-pile is better than the flat web H-pile in resisting the axial load. The result confirmed the hypothesis that predicting its capability and potential as an alternative for the current H-pile system
