Communication there are two
transmission that carried out to transmit Binary Information these
are the
Serial and Parallel Transmission .
Binary Iformation can be transmitted either in Parallel or serially. Consequently all 4 bits can be transmitted simultaneously during the time of a single clock pulse(T). This type of transmission is called
parallel-by-bit or serial-by-character.
Data Transmission can be accomplished much more quickly using parallel transmission. However, parallel transmission requires more lines between the source and destination.
As general rule, parallel transmission is used for short distance
communication , and within a computer, and serial transmission is used for long distance communications .

Parallel transmission is faster than Serial transmission
