The chain conveyors, also called Redlers, are equipment constructed in rigid metallic structures, constituted of plate modules,
that present some advantages comparing to other transporters, and also are total dismountable and easily replaceable. The chain conveyor presents design that facilitates the removal of the transporting set, when will be desired, in case of reorganization of the equipment. Moreover, this equipment speeds up the work rhythm and rationalizes the operational process, making possible load and discharge in any point of its tracing. This
transporter can be used for grain products (solids). However, the using for other products runs for account and risk of the user, losing itself, the right to the guarantee on any defect that to come to occurring, happened of the use not specified. Usually used for horizontal load
transport, the chain Transporter can also carry it with a maximum angle from inclination of 14°, being able to receive product from any another type of equipment such as silos, load chutes and other filling machines. It posses the advantage of being able to receive load in any point from the transporter, further to be a robust equipment that requires little maintenance. It has easiness of access to its elements what facilitates its maintenance, and is able to be disassembled in case of necessity of change in its capacity or future reorganization of the installations. The main components of a chain Transporter are: Foot or module of stretching, laterals, deep plate, covering, guide rolls, entrances, driving head and chutes of discharge. Components of a chain Transporter:
1 - Head: The head id manufactured with carbon steel of galvanized plates, being able to be strengthened with profiles folded and screwed in the laterals, depending on its size. The covering of the head is fixed in the laterals. In the extremities, the head possess a plate of closing and, in the other, screws for union with the body. The closing plate has an articulated cover, serving for inspection. The drive is constituted by a motoreducer of leaked axle, mounted directly in the axle of the motor wheel. This axle is supported in two coils that are screwed to the one structural plate, strengthened and painted, imprisoned it joins the lateral of the head. It possess bipartite wheel, that facilitates to the alignment and the maintenance 2 - Body: Construction screwed in carbon steel or galvanized plate. The bodies normally are manufactured in the lengths of 3m (standard), 1 and 2 m (adjustments). As well as the head, the bodies also possess a covering settled through fast closings. In both sides a profile is fixed that serves of support for the chain in its return, the same one slides and is guided in the polyethylene tracks (UHMW), in such a way, gets low level of noise and minor consumes of the chain. The deep plate also possess polyethylene track (UHMW) for support of the chain and is screwed to facilitate the maintenance. 3 – Linking Body with the foot: It is very similar to the body of linking with the head, however this body possess one of the prepared extremities to connect the foot and the intermediate support, having an opening for the grain flow. 4 - Foot: Construction screwed in carbon steel or galvanized plates, having the deep one screwed to the sides. As in the head, in the one of the extremities foot it has a plate of closing and in the other hurricane for the union with the body. The foot has also a smooth wheel of return of the chain and it is mounted in axle supported in two axle supports of rolling auto-compensators of coils. The isolation of the rollers is made by means of retainers. The joint axle - support is mounted on a thick plate that slides on the track, guided by means of stretch screw, forming a robust system and efficient stretching.
