The
paper presents construction of large-surface, reinforced concrete and steel
technological slab located in
industrial room. Bad
technical condition of the
floor slab indicated possibility of the whole construction failure which could
result in failure or damage to numerous facilities located both on, as well as
under the subject floor. Based on analysis of the available technical
documentation, inventory and material testing carried out by the authors of the
paper, causes as well as the range of existing damages were examined in details
and conditions required for further safe operation were determined. Due to
technical conditions described in the paper, the use of temporary solution in
the form of floor slab
strengthening with steel sections was required,
therefore, the strengthening by means of additional steel elements was
designed.
