The paper presents some cases of
steel
frameworks, which were damaged by vehicles during
construction of new
road viaducts located over modernized highway no. A18. There are given the
failure results, causes of their rise and also the new proposed structural
solutions which were applied than at those objects caused directly a more
improvement of motor traffic situation. The damaged
framework elements after
the several strikes of trucks at the framework structures could not be used in
the future. A contractor was taken an additional costs the closed with
frameworks exchanging. Hence the change of minimal height of road clearance
during
construction or repairing of bridge objects was proposed.
