Proper adhesion of the repair
material to the substrate is basic condition of effectiveness and durability of
repair or anti-corrosion protection. Results of research project, aimed at obtaining
the polymer-cement mortar of high bond
strength to
concrete, have been
presented in the paper. The acrylic modifier has been selected on the basis of
introductory tests as the most promising one. Multi-criteria optimisation,
based on the statistical-experimental material model of the composite, has been
carried out and composition of PCC mortar of high bond strength has been
formulated. Results of verifying tests have confirmed that besides of the
improved adhesion, the obtained mortar has also good or very good values of
other important properties and thus meets the stringent requirements for repair
materials, given for example in the European Standard EN 1054-3.
