This
is a companion paper with two others presented in Krynica conferences in 2002
and 2003. As two previous
ones it is devoted to a process of problem solving in
design using the Brief Theory of Inventive Problem Solving BTIPS. In this paper
the Effects module procedure is used to seek the Ideal Solution. The so-called
“scientific effects” are based on physical, chemical and mathematical laws and
phenomena. A general idea of their
application in building industry is given.
It is effective in cases when materials of special mechanical, physical and
chemical properties are applied. In modern building where objects are complicated
and form a composed system, the Effects module could be a key to the solution
of many problems. An example of application of BTIPS – Effects is also
described. Possibilities of software applications are also pointed out.
