In
this paper the methods of measurements of
reduction of impact sound pressure
level by floor coverings on a
heavyweight standard floor and dynamic
stiffness per unit area of materials used as elastic layer are discussed. Principals,
given in PN – EN 12534 – 2:2002 standard, of estimating
reduction of impact
sound pressure level by floor based on dynamic stiffness is discussed. Some
examples of measuring results of reduction of impact sound pressure level made
in Acoustical Laboratory in ITB are presented. This values are compared to
theoretical values estimated on the ground of dynamic stiffness of elastic
layer. Inaccuracies between real values of reduction of impact sound pressure
level by floor and estimated values on the ground of measurement of dynamic
stiffness are indicated.
