This
paper deals with the comparison between calculation and tests results of
temperature distribution inside
heated up
concrete specimens. The calculations
were carried on using the finite element method. Two dimensional problems of
transient heat transfer were solved. Three types of specimens with the cross
section of 20 x 20, 30 x 30 and 40 x 40 cm corresponding to the cross section
of concrete columns were tested. Concrete C25/30 with siliceous aggregate was
used. Specimens were subjected to the
temperature of 810 oC and heated up until the temperature in the
middle of them exceeded 500 oC.
