RESEARCH OF ROAD BRIDGE BEAMS STRENGTHENED BY CFRP TAPES IN THE DIFFERENT REPAIR PHASES

Article Abstract by: toffi_75

Original Authors: Arkadiusz MORDAK; Zbigniew MAŃKO
The
paper is presented the results of experimental research conducted on the
post-tensioned pre-stressed concrete
road bridge under statical loads made on
different phases of executing of its repair. Bridge spans were strengthened by
gluing CFRP stripes on bottom flanges of main beams and installing on beams of
external stirrups executed from steel flat bars. Main purpose of the bridge
repair was to increasing the load capacity of object to C class of loads (300
kN) according to the Polish Standards (PN-85/S-10030). On the base of obtained
results from research and calculation by FEM the behaviour of tested span
structures was evaluated at the different phases of repair, what it was
permitted an effectiveness of maintenance and elaborate guidelines for using of
this type of reinforced manner in the future in engineering practice.
