THE NUMERICAL MODELS OF RAINFORCED SOIL

Article Abstract by: toffi_75

This
paper presents the problem of numerical modelling and designing the reinforced
soil (RS) which is considered
to consist of a weak subsoil reinforced by gravel
columns and geosynthetics. The main objective of this paper is to make a
numerical models which helps us to analyse the deformation and to estimate the
bearing capacity of the subsoil depends of reinforcement technology. The
assumption for the adopted numerical model was made of using continuum medium
and we accepted a plane strain model. For our calculations we have accepted the
classical model FEM. The principal feature in the proposed model is the
description of materials behaving in mechanical way in each zone where we
assume elastic plastic medium with the Drucker-Prager criterion. Finally we
have examined the numerical models using the computer program Z_SOIL.
