The purpose of the study
was analysis of soil bulk density test results obtained by sand replacement
method and
using the nuclear density gage. The tests were made on compacted
soil built-in part of road
embankment in 30 test points. On the base of the
comparison of statistical characteristics of soil bulk densities determined at
the same location in road embankment by sand replacement method and nuclear
method similar results were obtained. Normal distribution of soil bulk densities
obtained by two different methods were analyzed and statistical comparisons
were done.
