INFLUENCE OF CEMENT STABILIZATION ON SHEAR STRENGTH OF FLY ASH – GEOMEMBRANE HDPE CONTACT

Article Abstract by: toffi_75

Original Author: Katarzyna Zabielska-Adamska
Interface
friction between geomembranes with different structures, which are used to
carry out the artificial
sealing of waste disposal, and fly ash and slag
mixture with various percentage cement additions was determined in the paper.
Tests were concluded in direct shear apparatus, using modified bipartite
cylindrical frame with additional part, which enables to test shear strength
between compacted waste and geomembrane HDPE. It was found, that interface
friction estimation is not depend on sample compaction and cement content. Only
geomembrane structure has an effect on shear strength between waste sample and geomembrane.
