the time the issue 4/2004 is published fifty years will have passed since the
publication of the first volume
(Vol. I/1955, Issue 1/2 and 3/4) of Quarterly
“ARCHIVES OF CIVIL
ENGINEERING”, dedicated to original papers of the
theoretical, experimental and numerical nature in the fields of structural
mechanics, soil mechanics and foundations engineering, concrete and metal
structures, roads, railways, bridges, building physics, construction materials
and computer aided design. In this paper presentation of themes concerning metal
structures (steel, aluminium, composite and theory of metal structures)
published in the years of 1955÷2003 has been made. Significant theme groups and
number of publications as well as the initial papers in every group are
mentioned. Initial appraisal of collected data is also presented.
