The
paper concerns
experimental investigations of vibrations caused by building and
functioning of the subway
in Warsaw, and precisely influence of these
vibrations on building structure and people residing in buildings located in
the neighbourhood of the subway tunnel. The range of the so far realized
investigations has been presented. The principles of the dynamic background
investigations and programming of vibration excited by train passages in the subway
tunnel have been discussed. Some chosen results of
experimental investigations
have been presented. A list of publications in this field elaborated in the
Institute of Structural Mechanics of the Cracow University of Technology is
also given.
