Underground
mining construction underwent a rapid development over the period of prosperity
in mining. It has
significant
achievements in the field of improving classical
mining technologies that find applications in multiple branches of underground
construction. Against this background the achievements of underground
construction in Poland as well as the possibilities of its further
implementation in the underground not-mining construction were considered. The
second part of the paper concerns combined and multi-layerd linings of
underground excavations. The basic
constructions of the linings and the way of
its statical calculations have been presented. The constructions and methods of
calculation presented are results of many years’ research works and practical
experiences. The necessity of the utilization of the experience in underground
not-mining construction has been emphasized in the conclusions.
