GEOSYNTETHICS – SOME METHODOLOGIES USED TO AVALIATE THE REAL GEOTEXTILE WORK`S THICKNESS DURING TRANSMISSIVITY TESTS IN SOIL-GEOSYNTETHIC-SOIL SYSTEM. Is truth that the geotextile`s thickness and your cross section have a high influence in the geotextile`s transmissivity.
Some methodologies used to
measure the real geotextile`s work thickness during transmissivity tests were studied in samples used in transmissivity tests. These procedures were been tested with some datum obtained during drain tests realized with some geotextiles non-woven types.
The real geotextile`s work thickness is one that is measure in the fabric without these two
SOIL layer sandwiched on the soil-geossinthetic-soil system. For each stress applied in the sample, is showed different geotextile thickness during current tests.
A comparison of the different hypotesis used to quantificate the new geotextile parameter was realized with datum obtained in laboratory, that is very important to describle the flow`s behavior. Each one of it has differents considerations and simplifications calculations that have to be considerate in the work`s thickness of the geotextile.
Finally, a comparison was realized with the many methodologies studied in this document to describe the best measure that approach in the real work`s thickness.
