This article brings a resume of a reconstruction of urban
pavements where were used differents thickness of asphalt, economizing the quantity of the bitumen and grain material used to reconstruction of the stress without to compromise of your life time and behavior.
However, some parts were used the minimum thickness claimed for the DNIT designers to the asphalt pavement. This was possible because these parts were much deteriorated and receive high
loads every day in the week. Even so that the loads of vehicles are resisted for the structure of the pavement, the asphalt’s thick has so influence on the distribution of the ones and brings a good rolling and waterproof. Thus, the thickness of the asphalt have too influence in the time life of the pavement roads.
Trying to describe the thickness variation of the asphalt’s pavement during the reconstruction, this work brings some interesting datum about the variation of the asphalt’s thick as well the economizing of the materials used in this action.
Thus, the experimental sections where was used reduced thickness of asphalt have been monitored to compare with the usual asphalt’s thick, according the designers, that receives major axle loads. An accomplishment through your life time as well your durability and confidence will describe different behaviors until the time of utilization of the construction will be accepted.
