NANOTECHNOLOGY ,BIOTECHNOLOGY and GENETIC ENGINEERING.
Biotechnology is defined as a combined application of
ENGINEERING and biology to benefit mankind.Commercially it can be defined as the use of biology in industrial processes such as agriculture ,brewing and baking.Some of its applications are Hybridoma technology,Alcohol production,Biofertilizers,Tissue culture etc... . It has also got its
negative points like Bioweapons like anthrax,explosives from extracts of clostridium acetobutylicum,etc.
Nanotechnology ,the future
Technology is described as the manipulation of matter at the molecular level into economically desirable forms.It manufactures systems of molecular size that emulate the behaviour of larger systems.Some of its applications are:Nanomedicine,Nanorobots, Nanofoods,Nanobodies,etc... .Besides this nanotechnology can also be misused for missiles,bioterrorism,etc.
Genetic engineering is the controlled manipulation of genes in an organism.It is the artifial introduction io changes to the genes in a cell.Genetic engineering is a part of Biotechnology but later it emerged as a different field.some of its uses are:production of vaccines,food crops resistant of extremities,diseases,etc... .It even carries dangers like ,evolution of new pathogens and superbugs.some people may clone humans and create biowarfare.
By carefully eliminating the negative points of these technologies we can boost the safer and healthier planet.
