Questionnaires
First of all you must be clear about what you are asking the people. Before going out onto
the streets and asking people the questions on your survey. Incase your questions aren’t clear enough you must try out your questions, this called a pilot survey. With a pilot survey you are bound to make a mistake, but this is the idea so that is ok. Here are some things that you could improve on
Use precise questions
Record person’s age
Design a data capture sheet like this one >>
Here is am example of a good questionnaire.
QUESTION: when was the last time you went to the cinema?
Answer A: in the last 7 days
Answer B: 8-14 days.
Answer C: 15 to 21 days
Answer D: over 22 days.
This an example of a good question because it gives you a good selection of choices and is very precise.
Scatter Graphs
First you need to collect your data and then plot it on a scatter graph. The points on the graph is called a correlation. If the points are going from left to right upwards it is called a positive correlation. If they are close together it is called a strong positive correlation. If the points are further apart then it is called a weak positive correlation. After, it is common that you will be asked to place a line of best fit. This line goes in the middle of the correlation. It doesn’t always necessary have to go through the origin. It would look like this>>>
