Wish the writer of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" would still be alive to see his fantasy coming true. A team of scientists in Britain led by the Damon Teagle of the National Oceanography Center in Southampton has conceived a plan to drill through five miles of solid rock on the sea bed. The rock samples they would collect would be helpful in the study of the origin of the Earth. The technical challenges would be enormous but still the scientists are keen on executing this experiment... A journey to the center of the Earth!
